Kimberley / Waterfall Gully Trash the Dress Photographer

When Kimberley first asked me to do a Trash the Dress shoot with her I was of course extremely excited! I had read about them before, seen a few photos (some crazy ones with wedding dresses set on FIRE!) and I really wanted to try it out. After some discussion on ideas for locations we settled on Waterfall Gully. And boy am I glad we did! The day was perfect, it was warm but not too warm, the water was flowing wonderfully and the gardens were really starting to blossom. I really love this time of year. The day was full of fun, lots of laughing, a few "almost falling in the water" moments and LOTS of staring from random onlookers. Overall it was a fantastic day! Thank you so much Kim for this fabulous opportunity I hope you had as much fun as I did!

Here they are...

I love how this photo focuses on the lace and bead detail of Kim's beautiful dress.

Bakerhi Update

As I mentioned in my last post, part of me being busy lately has been to do with baking. I realised I haven't been showing my photos of my baking adventures lately so I thought I would share them on here as well. Here's just a few recent items from Bakerhi.

No-Bake Chocolate Cheesecake

Green & Purple Vanilla Cupcakes

A White Workshop

I've realised it's been way too long since my last blog post! I've been a bit busy as of late with finalising wedding plans, booking shoots, baking, and everything else that goes along with life (you know all the boring stuff). But I have been doing some very fun and exciting new things. Including one a photography workshop! I decided that I wanted to do a photography workshop to try and meet other photographers, learn new techniques and bounce ideas around. While searching I found 'A White Workshop' run by White Wall Photography.

It was a small group of about 6 women and we all ranged from amateurs to pros, all with the same idea of learning from each other and our workshop instructors. We had a fabulous day walking around the main street of Hahndorf and a few other areas photographing a gorgeous model. All in all it was a great day with new friends made and new ideas brought to life.

These are a few of my favourites from the day...

p.s. I promise I'll have a lot more blog posts over the next few weeks, once I finally cross all my photos over to my new Mac!

Zara /// Adelaide Newborn & Family Photographer

I have to say this session was a little bit of a challenge. Zara was about 7 weeks old when these photos were taken and as most people out there know, 7 week olds do not fall asleep as easily as newborns (under 2 weeks old). This is where the patience you need as a photographer kicks in, because even though a session like this takes a bit longer, if you have the patience you will no doubt end up with some amazing photos! And no doubt end up with a lot of laughs as the baby in question pees on a few people during the rudey bum photos!

This was a very fun and exciting shoot for me and I absolutely love the photos I got from this session portraying the love this family has for one another. Here are a few of my favs...

This one has to be my absolute favourite from the day
