Tom - My Model for the Day

So after a bit of illness and a few trips to hospital, my camera was given a good rest, I have finally been able to get back into the swing of things. The other day we went down to Port Adelaide for a small photo session and I was lucky enough to have my hot fiance model for me. It was freezing cold and I swear my fingers almost dropped off but it was worth it to finally get a few shots in after a long break.

Here's a few of my favourites from the day.

I can't decide with this next one whether I like the colour or the browny tone version better. What do you think?

I love the rough texture of the timber post against the warmth of the soft jumper Tom's wearing.

That's all for now but I have a few more photos I'm working on and a few more of my cute little niece Bella that will be up shortly so stay tuned...

Fireworks and Churches

My family and I went to Sydney for new years and watched the fireworks from my uncle's balcony. We were only there a few days but I managed to get a few shots in from the trip. It was actually quite funny on new years eve, we got to my uncle's house and I realised I had forgotten to bring my 75-300mm lens and my tripod which were essential to get shots of the fireworks. Anyway, somehow Tom and I managed to get a taxi and get all the way back to the hotel, which was on a blocked off street, get my lens and tripod and get all the way back to my uncle's house with time to spare! Which if you've ever been to Sydney for new years you would know how ridiculously difficult that is to do.

Anyway, here's just a few shots from that short trip!

One Year Today!

Second post for the day haha...

So somehow I forgot to mention that it is exactly one year today until I will become Mrs Hocking, until I get to marry the love of my life, until I get to start forever with my best friend and I can't wait!

I'm also going to take this opportunity now to apologise to my amazing fiancee Tom in advance for all the stress that will surely come about during the next 12 months of planning. No matter how hard things get the main thing to remember is that I get to marry the most amazing man I've ever met so YAY!

Cupcakes in Paris and Venice and Lucerne and...

Ok so I didn't actually eat cupcakes in all those places, however, since my last blog (a very long time ago) I did actually visit all those places and more! I also became engaged in Venice to my amazing fiancee Tom and met some incredible people. Including a very inspiring and "fabulous" photographer named Scarlett.  She was amazing and offered to take photos of Tom and I while in Venice that ended up being our "engagement shoot"! She did a fantastic job and now can't wait for her and her new husband Stephen to be our wedding photographers next year YAY!

A couple of my fav photos that she took...

Now more recently, I finally started using my camera a bit more and even bought Photoshop finally. So here's just a few recent shots I've taken :)
